Mariana Giorgetti Valente

Mariana Giorgetti Valente is the director of InternetLab, and project lead for the Gender and Technology Project. She is a PhD candidate, focusing on sociology of law at the University of São Paulo, and has a law degree (LL.B., 2009) from the same university where she currently coordinates the Law, Internet and Society Nucleous (NDIS-USP). Mariana has attended the World Intellectual Property Organization Summer School and was a consultant for the Digital Collections Project at the Center for Technology and Society at FGV, where she co-coordinated the Open Business Models Project (2012-2014), taught the Intellectual Rights course (2014), and was one of the legal coordinators of Creative Commons Brazil.
